Akashvani Shillong (All India Radio AIR Shillong) is the capital radio station of Meghalaya, on air since 1 July 1948. It broadcasts on 864 kHz medium wave with news, current affairs, music and cultural programmes in Khasi, Hindi and English for listeners across the North Eastern region.
